Project
On April 11, 2017 at the last home game of the season, the Minnesota Timberwolves unveiled the centerpiece of the brand redesign – the new, modernized logo. During the in-arena halftime show, we launched a unique landing page giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the logo. The site I developed features multiple interactive elements to educate fans on the development and symbolism of the new logo, along with custom video content. Additionally, this landing page showcases the use of ‘horizon scrolling’, a form of parallax that provides a unique user experience while navigating through the site.
Design process between 3-4 weeks, with development time lasting 3-4 weeks for a total of nearly 2 months. The site launched on April 11, 2017.
Development and design of site layout and integration of interactive elements including a logo tour, comparison slider, and horizon scrolling. Planning of hosting space for ‘unveiling’ anthem video as well as a series of 'behind-the-scenes' logo development videos.
In the first month, Timberwolves.com/newera captured more than 30,000 pageviews with visitors spending an average of over 3 minutes engaging with the site.
